Yep, done law school. I'm In the British Columbia bar course now before I start clerking in September.

You definitely should try St. Innocent - far above most of what is coming out of Oregon.

Hello, Sir:

Long time no hear! Are you done with law school finally?

I've had the Domaine Tempier and it is very good. It'd be interesting to compare that to Le Bastide Blanche as they're both Bandol rosés.

My writing section and I pitched in some money to buy our writing professor and dean's fellow (student TA, basically) a bottle of wine each, which were, coincidentally enough, the 2006 St. Innocent "Seven Springs" pinot noir for the professor and the 2001 Dominio de Atauta, a tempranillo from the Ribera del Duero. It was all I could do to open them on the spot! That being said, I resisted such ignoble urges and will have to buy a bottle of the St. Innocent for myself some day!

I too find Burgundy strangely better value than most US Pinots. That Cristom is, however, distinctly mediocre for Oregon pinot. If you get the chance I recommend something from St. Innocent or Ken Wright.

Oh, and speaking of Rosé from Bandol - you must try Domaine Tempier's Rosé. It's at another level and shows what Rosé can be!
